2000 of these magazines are printed per month. 1500 are delivered door to door and the remaining 500 are distributed between outlets, eateries and local businesses. Download the latest edition of Southwold Organ below.
In this job I am generally working a month ahead so much as I hate mentioning Christmas this early (I’m writing this in October), it is a necessity especially when members of our community have gone to the trouble of organising Southwold’s spectacular ‘Light up Southwold’ event, with stalls, street food and entertainment, not to mention local shops and cafés embracing the theme with Panto costumes for staff. I’m sure this will be a fantastic event, bringing people together and supporting local businesses! Please get in touch if you have anything to share with our readers or if you have a festive event coming up why not consider increasing your footfall by placing an advert in the Tide Collection? I would love to hear from you, email me at: lou@ tidecollection.com
How fitting that there is now a permanent exhibition of the Old Hospital’s history in the building itself, honouring those who brought about its creation and those who worked there over the years. This will be of great interest to their descendants and people in general I’m sure, so do go along and take a look.
With Ukraine very much in the news presently a Southwold woman, Erika Clegg DL is walking 60 miles in three days to raise funds to send much needed lifesaving ambulances to Ukraine. Other women will join her walk throughout the three days to symbolise solidarity with the women of Ukraine. See page 9 for more details and if you wish to donate to this very worthy cause.
