The Old Hospital are a step nearer the funding goal for their proposed community fitness centre thanks to two grants from East Suffolk CIL Community Fund and the Reydon Trust. I’m sure this will be a great asset for the community, improving health and wellbeing for people of all ages. A new website will be launched shortly so you can follow their progress!
June Edition
As I write this we are approaching Spring Bank Holiday which should bring some high temperatures. I wonder if there will be some practice runs down at the beach, in preparation for Southwold’s new Sandcastle competition which takes place in July? Such a fun idea and I feel there will some fierce competition and the ‘best ball roll’ may require some engineering skills! Why not get the family together and get involved? I look forward to posting some photos of your creations!

Several charities would like you to get involved this month and you can have fun along the way – the Fun Dog Show and mini-fete returns, to fund ambulances for Help2Ukraine and there is a Fancy dress parade planned for August to support the Brain Tumour charity, so plenty of time to sort out costumes – children love to dress up! Also the Halesworth to Southwold Narrow Gauge Railway charity and Southwold Railway have Open Days, including a miniature railway. Enjoy!
