February Edition

Not generally considered the best month of the year, January was once again cheered up by another successful panto at Leiston Film Theatre. Plenty of fun for all ages as Wayne and his team graced the stage with this unique form of entertainment which has been going since the 16th century! (don’t think Wayne was performing then?) Long may this tradition continue in Suffolk’s oldest purpose-built cinema.

January Edition

Many people look upon a new year as a time for change and maybe taking on new things. One thing you may wish to consider is volunteering for the RNLI just a few miles down the road in Aldeburgh. There are all sorts of roles which don’t necessarily mean going out to sea such as shore crew or maintaining the boathouse. Take a look at page 15 if you think this would be of interest to you. A very rewarding job with a great team!

December Edition

This is the final edition of the Aldeburgh Times for 2024 and, as always, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the contributors who take the time to send me news and photos to share with our readers. One thing I have learnt whilst editing our six titles is that there are many unsung heroes who do so much for our communities and bring people together, without expecting anything in return.
