Music and dance are the focus this month as Framlingham College hosts a Summer Festival, Phoenix Singers celebrate their 50th anniversary, Framlingham Concerts announce their autumn programme and East Suffolk mourns the loss of Kay Goddard, who taught generations of aspiring dancers over the years and will be remembered by many of you. The World Cup brings sport very much into the limelight and it’s a priority at Sir Robert Hitcham’s Primary School, who recently received the Sports Gold Award for what they provide for the children. Whether you’re sporty or not, participating is essential for learning important life skills such as resilience, teamwork and fairness. I’m sure the pupils will enjoy a summer of outdoor activity!

What an epic feat by two young men who live near Framlingham and who cycled across South Africa in memory of a dear brother, Ali, whilst raising funds for St Elizabeth Hospice, who cared for him.
