A huge ‘Well Done’ to Saxmundham Town Council for being awarded joint ‘Council of the Year’ in recognition of them going above and beyond expectations. With Sealink and Sizewell C they have an awful lot to deal with and are clearly doing a great job for our town. Congratulations to all concerned.

I’m sure we’re all frustrated with the numerous traffic lights, delays and speed limits which have popped just about everywhere. Suffolk County Councillor Richard Smith is equally frustrated and is questioning whether these are all really necessary, so it will be interesting to see what developments there will be. Richard will keep us posted through his monthly column I’m sure.
Once again Sax Fest was a great success and drew huge crowds – I don’t recall seeing queues before! I feel a bigger field may be needed next year. A great community event and an opportunity for local musicians to showcase their talent. Well done and thank you to Terry Barrow and his team of volunteers for all their hard work!
