Congratulations to Ron Hepworth, MBE, who recently, not only celebrated 53 years as a Rotarian but also his 100th birthday! A special lunch was held for him and tributes shared. What a contribution Ron must have made to his community over the years and is still doing so! Ron has been described as ‘unstoppable’. I’m sure you will join me in sending very best wishes.

Two local businesses are celebrating this month – family-run ladies fashion outlet, Tilley & Grace will be opening the doors of their warehouse HQ for a two day shopping event with samples, stock that’s never been in store and brand-new products (see page 15). Also, Revetts butchers, of Wickham Market are celebrating over 100 combined years of excellent customer service – Gary, the proprietor (48 years), shop manager, John (around 25 years) and Michael over 25 years in the food industry). It’s not easy for high street shops these days so it’s good to celebrate those that are thriving!
June Edition
I ventured over to Woodbridge on Sunday to watch the 10K race for the first time. Men, women and children of all ages and abilities giving it their all and spurred on by an impressive crowd who cheered them on. It was lovely to see and some of the children seemed so small! We stood outside the Bull Hotel and I’m sure I couldn’t have made that hill. Well done to all who took part – I am in awe of your efforts! To cap it all, over £15000 was raised for local charities, thanks to local sponsors. Well done to the Woodbridge Shufflers for organising this excellent community event.
