April Edition

A bumper edition this month with lots of ideas for activities now spring has arrived and there is more happening!

Woodbridge celebrates Earth Day on April 20th so why not head down to Whisstocks for a Local Food and Environment Fair with music, films and fun activities for all ages? The theme is ‘Planet vs Plastics’ so promoting the idea of reducing the amount of plastic in our homes and lives will be informative I’m sure.

Whatever your plans I hope you have an enjoyable Easter and the weather is kind!

March Edition

It’s all about the music this month! A free concert at Martlesham to highlight Suffolk’s new nature reserve – Martlesham Wilds, Woodbridge Orchestral Society’s Annual Concert, Suffolk Constabulary Male Voice Choir’s April concert raising funds for Jetty Lane and four-piece band ‘East of the Sun’ brings pop music from the 60s/70s, jazz standards and Motown to the library and, if you fancy having a go at singing yourself, why not join The Suffolk Singers for a workshop they are holding? Music is very uplifting I always think – which can only be a good thing!

February Edition

I’m always amazed at how many people brave the icy North Sea on Christmas Day but it’s all for a good cause – St Elizabeth Hospice, which supports so many patients and their families at a very difficult time, not only with inpatient care but by providing a community service, clinical and phsychococial care, bereavement support and more – a wonderful charity. Well done to all who participated and supported this annual ‘dip’ in any way.
