October Edition

Along with the CEEC, a diverse group of landowners, concerned citizens, town, parish, district and county council representatives and environmental organisations got together recently to make a plan for protecting and regenerating the Deben. The CEEC are also looking at many other issues and are thrilled that the Martlesham Wilds project has reached its target. Transition Woodbridge have also been busy with bat surveys and Wildlife Corridors, supported by the residents of Woodbridge – see page 5 for more details of both these organisations – you may be able to get involved – biodiversity benefits us all after all!

September Edition

Are you aware of a person or organisation who has made an outstanding contribution to the life or name of Woodbridge during the last 12 months? If so, Woodbridge Town Council would like to hear from you. Nominations are invited for the Potter Community Cup 2023. Let’s recognise some of the unsung heroes who put their time and energy into helping their community! See page 5 for more details.

August Edition

We are championing local volunteers this month, from the ‘sturdy girl’ volunteers who transform homes for families living in crisis, free of charge, Transition Woodbridge’s community fruit harvesting – to the members of Aldeburgh Yacht Club Schools Sailing programme who took to the water with local school children, teaching them to sail and in the process helping their personal development and increasing confidence. It wasn’t until I started editing the Tide Collection that I realised how many unsung heroes there are who give up their time and energy to benefit their communities when we all have such busy lives! I’m sure we all appreciate their efforts.
